When I started this project I had 3 different ideas for narratives.
- The first, is about a strange boy who leaves a civilised dinner at which he is bored, to chase and eat a rat. The story is about people's relationship to food and what is considered to be 'human'. Is it now inhuman to eat meat and hunt?
- The second story shows an old woman bobbing about in her own kitchen struggling with sight and other things related to old age. suddenly, when she drops her cup of tea a little girl wakes up from what we understand to have been a nightmare with a fresh cup of tea resting beside her bedside table.
-The third story is about the sentence "winner stays on". 2 people are playing pool competitively and as the game goes on you understand that the winner is killing the players off
I made animatics for the Rat Boy and the Pool table narratives to decide which animation I was going to make.
Through research on structure and sketches I made final decisions on the designs of the characters. After talking to Mike and Alan I decided to use the green screen facilities that will
